只係依個程度既話,部戲應該叫 The Pursuit of Success,或者 The Pursuit of Money,甚至再俗d,叫American Dream算啦.

Hi all. I incidentally bump into this forum, and would like to give my idea about the movie and your comments.

The movie only mentioned a very very short part of Chris Gardner's life. A normal person would pursue many different things in his/her life. There is no need to judge whether the movie message is "correct" or not. 10 years later Gardner could be fighting for something different from money or career, who knows?

Moreover, at that part of his life, he did not have much choice over what to pursue: he needed a good job so he could run away from the circumstances.

Personally, I think the most important thing to take away from the movie is this, "Happiness doesn't come to you, you have to go after it. And the process could be very bitter."
